This live improvisational format brings multimedia artists together with a focus on poetic narrative. Poets, musicians, dancers and painters hammer out collaborations in this audience-interactive workshop. Bring your instruments or use ours. All are welcome to perform and shape new work in Chashama's newest space. Collaborative Open Mic sign-up begins @ 7:45pm

Catch the buzz of "multiple personality folk-jazz-rock constellation," better known as Rebecca Hart. Rebecca, master of songwriting, guitar and voice, will perform songs from her three albums. Acentos brings new voices from the Blue Ox Bar of the Bronx to TIXE's stage:Tyrone Acosta, Juan Diaz, Jessica Torres and Nina present their work to the heart of 42nd Street. Rhythm occillating like english on the edge of the Word, music becomes a necessary FUNKtion in the evolution of poetry. synonymUS and the louderARTS Project introduce the poets who can bring it with a beat! HBO Def Poet, Roger Bonair-Agard is joined for this one time event by Mara Jebsen, Grisel-Toro & Friends and Say Word's Farbeon and Rabbi Darkside. FUNKtion takes these lyric-tip artists on a trip to right side of rhythm.
